Match engine
Lanes collapse early. Greedy cores get punished. One smoke rotation can crack the map and swing the next fifteen minutes. The engine tracks vision, spikes, economy, tilt, and desperation — fights erupt when state breaks, not from scripts.
High-ground stalls, bad Rosh calls, and momentum swings stay earned. Sandbox-first: draft wild comps, force chaos, split-push until it snaps — the simulation answers back.

Standings
Wins pay forward; losses stick. Everyone shares the same ladder — draft and calls are what move the number.

What's cooking
No promises. Just experimental systems, weird ideas, and mechanics we can't stop iterating on.
On the roadmap
Turn CM sessions into a season pass vibe — seasonal targets, streak trophies, and flair on your lobby card.
Bounties that reset with the ladder
Wear the heater — visible in lobby
Three slots for streak, draft IQ, and vision badges — loot you actually want to flex between queues.
Challenge links · shared CM clock
A draft opponent who actually types back.
Same bans, same reserves, same pool — you and a friend in the same lobby. Run the match sim twice or argue the log until someone concedes.
On the horizon
Brackets · BO3 drafts · trophies
Mini-majors for your group chat.
Eight captains, single elim, or a crew-sized Swiss — draft series that feel like event night instead of ladder grind.
On the horizon
One direction we're serious about below — the rest of the list is yours to shape.
Your pro, your arc.
Roll a captain card — look, lane ego, story — then stack reputation, milestones, and signature drafts across seasons. Progress lives on the person, not only the number.
Extra modes, different ladders, dumb ideas that might work — if you'd actually play it, we want to hear it. No wrong answers; just tell us what sounds fun.

FAQ
Plain-language answers for first-time captains — draft flow, simulator panels, and what counts on the ladder.
A fan-built Captain's Mode practice client. You roll faction and pick order, run a full 7.34+ CM draft against an AI captain, lock in a team playbook, then simulate the match and climb a solo ladder. It is not the Dota 2 client and does not replace playing the game.
Support
This is a nights-and-weekends build. If Captain's Mode ever made your night a little better, a tip helps with hosting and time to keep improving things.
Ko-fi handles payments safely. A note on your tip is optional, but I read them.
